At the start of the section on Energy Flux, the variable energy density is introduced as capital epsilon, which was already defined above as energy. My guess is that this should be lower case epsilon... Is this correct?

Energy flux \mathcal{P}(t) is the rate of change of energy density \mathcal{E}(t) .
